Low-Dimensional Semiconductors Lab
where light meets material
Welcome to our webpage!
Low-dimensional semiconductors (LDS) lab focuses on understanding light-matter interactions in the excitonic (electron-hole bound pair) semiconductors for fundamental research and device applications. We believe exploring new materials in the low-dimensional regime will open up new avenues in the light-harvesting or emitting systems to quantum information technologies and integration on-chip devices. Materials with unique optical, electrical, and magnetic properties are designed for multi-functional devices. Our research work mainly involves experimental of materials synthesis, device fabrication, and characterization. In addition, theoretical calculations and simulations to understand the bottlenecks in the device performance will be focused.
